Founded in 1978 as London's only independent sixth form college specialising in the arts and humanities, with 26 A-Level subjects across two Hampstead sites.

About Hampstead Fine Arts College

Hampstead Fine Arts College was founded in 1978 as the only independent college in London for sixth formers specialising in the arts and humanities, and that remains what distinguishes it. The A-Level list is built the opposite way round from most colleges. Fine Art, Graphic Design, Photography, Fashion and Textile Design, Dance, Drama and Theatre Studies, Music, Music Technology, Film Studies and History of Art are all full A-Levels, with the academic subjects arranged around them rather than the other way about. For a student whose work is genuinely in the arts, few sixth forms in the country are set up like this. Teaching is across two sites a short walk apart in Hampstead: Centre Studios on Englands Lane and Parkhill on Parkhill Road. The college is part of Dukes Education. It is a day college; nothing on the site indicates boarding. Fees are not published online, so contact the college for current rates.
